Question by Raindrops_on_Roses: Post surgery question–possible allergy to Vicoden?
Yesterday I had surgery to remove my wisdom teeth, all went well, no problems, all that jazz. But shortly after I got home, I drank a milkshake and took a vicoden pill, just as the doctor had recomended. A little while later, I threw up my milkshake, and threw up three more times throughout the day. Could this be an allergic reaction to the vicoden (and therefore in future surgeries I should alert the doctors about this issue) or could this be just an after effect of the anesthesia and eating too soon?

VICODIN IS A STRONG NARCOTIC PAINKILLER. IT AFFECTS DIFFERENT PEOPLE DIFFERENTLY. A BETTER PAINKILLER IS ADVIL. 3-4 PILLS EVERY 4-6 HOURS.
CALL THE DOCTOR AND INFORM HIM/HER OF YOUR SITUATION.
